The students will receive ACCA tuition alongside the regular bachelors degree programme so that a student will be able to complete their bachelors and ACCA exams at the same time. Through their ACCA exams, students will also achieve a degree in applied accounting from Oxford Brookes University in the United Kingdom (UK), said the statement.
The ACCA qualification, which takes around three years to complete, is officially recognised as being equivalent to a master's degree in the UK.
"This agreement will help our students explore avenues beyond the national boundary. I am very happy about this development and am sure that both parents and students will utilize this opportunity", said BhamaVenkataramani, director, Symbiosis Centre for Management Studies, in the statement.
ACCA is the global body for professional accountants with 1.70 lakh members and 4.32 lakh students in 180 countries worldwide. The aim of ACCA is to offer business-relevant, first-choice qualifications to people of application among others.
